Perfect Adventures strongly encourages all Mexico travelers to check out Binational Medical Emergency Medical Committee. Get this Binational card BEFORE leaving on your trip to Mexico. This is a great service offered by Celia Diaz. We never travel to Mexico with out this card and the peace of mind that goes with it. We can tell you amazing rescue stories that Ms. Diaz was responsible for over the years. Again, verify that your travel buddies know where this information is located and how to use it.Should I bring dollars or pesos?
US dollars are taken every where in Baja. Bring small bills (1, 5, 10, 20's) as sometimes it may be difficult for local vendors to make change on larger bills. Be aware that when paying in US currency that most local vendors will give change back in pesos. For our longer or more remote trips, we suggest bringing more pesos than dollars. Most Baja savvy travelers carry both. To exchange pesos before the trip, go to the local exchange houses or at the exchange services near in San Ysidro, CA. We get better shopping deals when paying with pesos!Baja Hot Springs
